The Abortion Pill
Often referred to as a medical abortion, the abortion pill is a combination of two medications. These medications provide a safe and effective option for ending an early pregnancy, typically up to 10 weeks. NUPAS will deliver the pills by post if you meet the requirements. You must have a phone consultation with our pregnancy advisory service team first before accessing the medication for termination of pregnancy.

In the UK, if you're less than 10 weeks pregnant, abortion pills by post are a safe and legal option. NUPAS offers a pills-by-post service so you can take the medication at home, eliminating the need for a clinic visit. If you require the abortion pill, you must contact our pregnancy advisory service and a member of our team will arrange a consultation appointment for you. It will be over the telephone and they will ask you questions to assess your situation and the best care moving forward.

In our specialist clinics, surgical abortion is a safe day-care procedure to end a pregnancy. This minor operation doesn't require an overnight stay. The length of your clinic visit depends on your pregnancy stage and chosen anaesthesia. Surgical abortions vary depending on your health, pregnancy stage, and preference. NUPAS offers two main methods:
- Manual Vacuum Aspiration: This is a safe option for up to 14 weeks of pregnancy.
- Dilatation and Evacuation: This method is used from 14 to 23 weeks and 6 days of pregnancy.

STI Testing
As a pregnancy advisory service, we always place your sexual health as a priority, and our services expand to offer all patients STI testing too. Our STI tests are very simple and quick. All we need is a finger prick blood sample, urine sample or small cotton bud swab of vaginal discharge. The swabs may feel uncomfortable but shouldn’t be painful. Where Is Our Pregnancy Advisory Service Based?
Our Clinics are based in England UK, around Greater London, the North West, South East, Midlands and Yorkshire. We offer our pregnancy advisory service to International Patients and those living in Northern Ireland who don’t have access to these services legally. If you are travelling overseas, we will assist you with your transport, bookings and accommodation.
