Modern Slavery (Article 4 Human Rights Act)
Modern slavery and human trafficking is incompatible with our values. We support the government’s goal to remove them from society.
We must work in ways that are in line with the Human Rights Act 1998. The rights under this Act include the right for people to be free from slavery and forced labour. We therefore have a duty to report suspected criminal activity which includes modern slavery and human trafficking.
When we speak to you, we will ask you some questions to make sure you are safe and free from activities around Modern Slavery. If we believe you to be at risk, we will discuss with you the need for a referral to be made to help keep you safe.
