How long should I lay down after inserting Misoprostol?

If you’ve inserted Misoprostol tablets vaginally, it’s a good idea to lie down for about 30 minutes while they dissolve. As long as you insert them as far in as possible, they shouldn’t fall out, but once you start bleeding, you may see a chalky residue of the pills- this is normal.
