Abortion in Ireland and Northern Ireland abortion is against the law, unless the pregnancy endangers the life of the woman.
It is however not against the law to travel to an abortion clinic outside Ireland or Northern Ireland to have an abortion. Every year, thousands of women who live in Ireland travel to the UK to have access to abortion services. NUPAS UK provides abortions as a pregnancy advisory service for up to 17 weeks and 6 days of pregnancy in our UK clinics.
NUPAS now provide free NHS abortions for women from Northern Ireland in our abortion clinics.
If you need information and advice or have already made the decision to have an abortion, you will need to make arrangements to attend our clinic.
You can call:
You will be able to speak to an advisor from 8am-10pm, 7 days a week by telephone or online. Alternatively, you can use our call back request service or email any questions to email@example.com and an advisor will contact you.
We understand how difficult it can be to make a decision regarding an abortion in Ireland or Nothern Ireland, especially if you are travelling from Ireland and other oversea areas to a UK clinic. Our abortion services are tailored to meet the needs of Irish and other overseas visitors, which enables you to travel to our clinic and return home the same day.
